Derek Minno has more than 20 years of experience in private equity and venture capital as an investor and operator. Before joining Exigen Capital, Derek was a Managing Director at Wilshire Private Markets where he managed the global venture capital investment process (about $1 billion in Assets) and served on the Global Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Wilshire, Derek had operating roles in two venture-backed IT companies serving as CEO, CFO, and VP-Business Development. Earlier, he was a Partner with Point Venture Partners (exits included E-Transport, Avidia, EnSys) and the co-founder of HP Russia (funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development – EBRD). Throughout his career, he has served on multiple boards and investment committees.

Derek received his M.S. in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University and his B.E. in Engineering from Vanderbilt University, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
