Dr. Marcel Rohner was most recently Group CEO at UBS AG and Chairman & CEO of UBS Investment Bank. He brings to Exigen Capital 17 years of broad banking experience.

Previously, Marcel held several other C-level roles at UBS: CEO and Chairman of global Wealth Management & Business Banking, Group Executive Board (GEB) member, and Chief Operating Officer and Deputy CEO of the Private Banking Unit of UBS Switzerland. He served as Group Chief Risk Officer at Warburg Dillon Read, which was acquired by UBS. Earlier in his career, he was Head of Market Risk Control Europe with Swiss Bank Corporation’s Investment Banking division.

Until 2009, Marcel served as Vice Chairman of the Swiss Bankers Association and as the Vice Chairman of The Board of Trustees of The Swiss Finance Institute.

Marcel holds a Ph. D. degree in economics from the University of Zurich, where he was also a teaching assistant at the university’s Institute for Empirical Research in Economics.
